
J1 Intern eligibility
-
Must be currently enrolled in and pursuing a degree at a post-secondary academic institution outside of the US
OR
-
Have graduated from one less than 12 months before the start date of the J1 Visa Program
-
Finished at least 1 year of the degree program and completed sufficient academic coursework before the start of the program in order to be sufficiently prepared for internship in the US
-
Internship directly related to the academic field of study
J1 Trainee eligibility
-
Must currently hold a degree from a post-secondary institution outside of the US and have at least one year of employment in your occupational field outside the US
OR
-
Have more than five years of work experience in your field outside of the US

Training program directly related to occupational field/work experience
